REVIEW | L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner

What is it?

A one step sulfate-free shampoo/conditioner blend

Price
$6.99 (walgreens)

Claims
It’s made for all dry hair types and provides triple action hydration with Omega 3 & 6. The benefit of being a cleansing conditioner is that it is a one step process therefore cutting time from your routine that involves shampoo and conditioner while leaving hair clean and soft.

Pros
  • Leaves hair very soft
  • Sulfate & Paraben Free
  • 100% Vegan
  • Pump bottle top
  • Gentle for people who have to take multiple showers a day (gym, working outdoors, etc.)

Cons
  • Low lather
  • Not really “one step” still need conditioner
  • Size is too small for the price
  • Need many pumps to get enough out

Buy Again?
Nope. And here's why...

Thoughts.
My hair is a combination. I have very long fine hair that has lots of volume. It gets oily at the roots and the bottom half is dry due to damage from dying my hair often and heat styling tools.

The texture and appearance of this product is just like a creamy conditioner or even comparable to a body lotion. Smells great! It has a strong sweet perfumey smell like honey, almonds, vanilla, and I guess the Camelina oil has something to do with it too. It’s strong so it lingers on. I like good smelling hair so that’s a plus for me but it might be strong for some.

This Cleansing Conditioner produces minimal lather so it was hard to lather it evenly throughout all of my hair to get a good wash. At first I didn’t think it would clean at all because it didn’t feel clean. To my surprise it took away the oily dirty hair feeling but my hair still felt like it was too fragile without extra conditioner when I was combing through it wet so now I use another conditioner after. I've never been a fan of shampoo + conditioner products. It does leave hair with its natural oils so it's left with a natural shine and softness.

Overall it does work and it’s a good but not GREAT product. It’s not a lot of product for the price either. I have to get about 6 full pumps just to get enough out which is annoying because I feel like I’m using it all up. I know it’s going to finish very soon for me! I won’t be buying it again. Well...unless they come up with a larger size! I don't feel bad washing the sweat out of my hair after a hardcore gym session with this if I've already had to shower earlier in the day because otherwise multiple hair washes with a normal shampoo will dry out my hair. I might go back to other shampoos and conditioners from Loreal’s sulfate free line because they work better for me.

Yes my hair is a bit ombre.
It's darker on the top and I'm about to lighten the bottom parts to have a strong gold color soon :)

Have you tried this? Did it work for you?
Many people have compared this to Wen but I've never tried Wen so I couldn't compare.
